Change position of logo using a custom theme

You can use a custom (DOCX) branding theme to position your logo using more than left and right-align. For example, centre the logo and use vertical alignment.

Read the rules and recommendations for using custom templates before you start customising your DOCX template. Custom themes aren't available for remittance advices.
  1. Click Settings, then select General Settings.
  2. Under Features, click Invoice Settings.
  3. Find the theme you want to change and click Download.
  4. Use Microsoft Word (or equivalent) to open the template you want to change from the ZIP file.
  5. Turn on the view gridline feature in Word to show the table gridlines.

This is just a viewable feature - it doesn't print the gridlines on your invoice, credit note, quote, statement or purchase order.

  6. Click on your logo.
  7. Depending on where you want to move your logo:

    • Use the left, center or right-align options to move the logo to the position you want.
    • Copy and paste your logo to another cell in the table.
    • Create another table row with cells, and copy and paste it into one of these cells.

At this point, you might also like to make other changes to further customise your template.
  8. Save the file to your computer.
  9. In Xero on the Invoice Settings screen, click Upload to upload your edited file and update the custom template.
