Add or edit a task in Xero Projects for Android

Add a new chargeable or non-chargeable task to keep track of the different parts of your projects. You can also edit an existing task if you haven’t invoiced it.

Add a new task to a project

  1. Tap the name of the project you want to add a task to.
  2. Tap +, then tap New task.
  3. Add a Task description, if you've set up inventory items in Xero, you can select the item from your inventory list.
  4. Switch the Chargeable toggle to On (blue) to add a Charge rate / hr.
  5. Add an Estimate.
  6. Tap the checkmark icon

Edit an existing task

You cannot delete a task or change it to a non-chargeable task, if a time entry on that task has already been invoiced.

  1. From the project, tap the TASKS tab.
  2. Tap the task you want to edit.
  3. Tap the menu icon Image of the More menu icon in Xero for Android. then tap Edit.
  4. Make your changes changes.
  5. Tap the checkmark icon
