Capital One (US) direct feeds

Connect your Xero bank accounts with Capital One to get your account transactions automatically imported into Xero every morning.

Connect your accounts

Add new accounts to your existing feed

If you have an existing credit card feed and want to add checking, savings or certificate of deposit accounts, you’ll need to follow these steps. You only need to do this once for all new accounts:

  1. In the Accounts menu, select Bank Accounts.
  2. Find the Capital One (US) credit card account.
  3. Select Manage Account.
  4. Click Update Feed Login.
  5. Click Login & Connect Accounts.
  6. Sign in to your Capital One online account with your online login at Capital One.
  7. Select the accounts you'd like to connect with Xero and click Authorize.
  8. Next to each account, click Connect to a Xero bank account. Then select either the matching account in Xero, or New Bank Account in Xero to create a new bank account.
  9. For each account, select the start date that you'd like transactions imported from. If you don't update this, transactions from the current day will be imported into Xero.
  10. Click Connect

Once connected, your transactions will immediately import into Xero.

Update Yodlee bank feed to an improved direct feed

Update your Yodlee feed to an improved direct feed that’s set up in Xero. To update the feed:

  1. In the Accounts menu, select Bank Accounts.
  2. Find the bank account with the Yodlee feed. Take note of the date that your last statement was imported.
  3. Select Manage Account.
  4. Select Convert to Direct.
  5. Click Login & Connect Accounts
  6. Sign in to your Capital One online account.
  7. Confirm the account you'd like to connect with Xero is ticked and click Authorize.
  8. Next to each account, click Connect to a Xero bank account. Then select either the matching account in Xero that’s currently connected to Yodlee.
  9. For each account, select the start date that you'd like transactions imported from. Use the date you noted down earlier of your last statement import.
  10. Click Connect

Your existing feed will be automatically disconnected and depending on the financial institution, your transactions will immediately import into Xero.

To connect your Capital One accounts to Xero:

  1. In the Accounts menu, select Bank Accounts.
  2. Click Add Bank Account.
  3. Type 'Capital' then select Capital One (US) from the list.
  4. Click Login & Connect Accounts.
  5. Sign in to your Capital One online account.
  6. Select the accounts you'd like to connect with Xero and click Authorize.
  7. Next to each account, click Connect to a Xero bank account. Then select either the matching account in Xero, or New bank account in Xero to create a new bank account.
  8. For each account, select the start date that you'd like transactions imported from. If you don't update this, transactions from the last 30 days will be imported into Xero.
  9. Click Connect.

Once connected, your transactions will immediately import into Xero.
