Remove or delete a file attached to an invoice or receipt in Xero for iOS

When you remove a file attached to a draft or unpaid invoice or receipt, it moves the file to your organization's Files Inbox. When you delete a file, it is removed from the invoice or receipt and is permanently deleted from your organization.

Remove a file

  1. Tap Sales or Receipts.
  2. Open the invoice or receipt you'd like to update.
  3. Tap the file icon Image of the attach file icon in Xero for iOS. then select View Attached Files.
  4. Tap the file name.
  5. Tap the delete icon Image of the delete icon in Xero for iOS. then tap Move to Files Inbox.
All users except Read Only users can access files in the Files Inbox.

Delete a file

  1. Tap Sales or Receipts.
  2. Open the invoice or receipt you'd like to update.
  3. Tap the file icon Image of the attach file icon in Xero for iOS. then select View Attached Files.
  4. Tap the file name.
  5. Tap the delete icon Image of the delete icon in Xero for iOS. then tap Delete.
