Transfer the subscription for your organization
If you're the subscriber of a trial or paying organization, you can transfer the subscription to someone else, such as your client. Xero sends an invite to that person and they'll need to accept the transfer before becoming the new subscriber.
You can also access your subscription options from within an organization. In the Settings menu, select Subscription, then click Manage Subscription to show the options in a new browser window.
If you use Xero HQ, find your client in the clients list on the Clients tab and select Manage subscription from the overflow menu icon .
How it works
When the new subscriber accepts the invite to transfer the subscription for a paying organization, they can upgrade the organization's pricing plan. You're responsible for the subscription charges up until the date the transfer is completed.
If the organization is currently on a partner pricing plan (eg Ledger or Cashbook) and you're transferring the subscription to someone else outside a practice, like a client, the new subscriber needs to upgrade to a Business Edition plan when they accept the subscription.
If you are transferring a trial organization's subscription, the organization stays as a trial. Once the subscription transfer is accepted, the new subscriber can upgrade the organization to a paying subscription.
Transfer the subscription for an organization
From the header, click the list icon , then select My Xero.
Find your organization, then click Transfer.
- Enter the name of the new subscriber and their email address, then click Request transfer.
