Revise a quote

Revise a quote if you want to change its details. You can only revise a quote that has a status of Draft or Sent.

How to revise a draft quote

  1. In the Accounts menu, select Sales.
  2. Under the Quotes heading, click the Draft status panel.
  3. Open your quote.
  4. Make the changes you need.
  5. Save or Send the quote.

How to revise a sent quote

  1. In the Accounts menu, select Sales.
  2. Under the Quotes heading, click the Sent status panel.
  3. Open your quote.
  4. Click Options, then Revise.

  5. Make the changes you need.
  6. Select:
    • Update to save the quote without resending it to your customer, or
    • Update & Send to email the revised quote to your customer.

How to add a note to a quote

Add a note to a quote so you can keep a record of extra information about your quote. Notes do not appear on quotes you send - they are for your organization only.

  1. In the Accounts menu, select Sales.
  2. Under the Quotes heading, click the status panel your quote is in.
  3. Open your quote.
  4. Under the History & Notes heading, click Add a note.

  5. Enter your note.
  6. Save.
