Security settings in direct deposit

Xero provides multiple layers of security to protect payroll payments made with direct deposit. There are some additional steps you can take to improve it further.

  1. Update your Xero account security to increase the security of your Xero account through:
    • Two-step authentication
    • Updated login details including email and password
    • Monitoring your logins through login history
  2. Check your direct deposit confirmation emails. Xero sends you an automated email each time:
    • Employee payment information is added or edited
    • A direct deposit payment is issued
    If you did not make the changes, or issue the payment, we recommend you contact Xero support via the link in the confirmation email.
