Delete a pay item

Delete a pay item you don't want to use in payroll. You can only delete a pay item if it's not in a pay template, pay run, or in employee opening balances.

  1. In the Settings menu, select General Settings.
  2. Under Features, click Payroll Settings.
  3. Click the Pay Items tab.
  4. Select the type of pay item. For example, Earnings.
  5. Click the menu item on the right of the pay item you want to delete, then select Delete. You won't see the Delete option if the pay item is in use.

  6. Click Delete to confirm.
