View direct deposit registration status

Check the current status of your direct deposit registration, so you can see when you can pay employees electronically.

  1. In the Settings menu, select General Settings.
  2. Under Features, click Payroll Settings.
  3. Click the Electronic Services tab.
  4. Check your direct deposit registration status.

    • Pending Documents

      The owners and officers have not yet returned the electronically signed Terms of Service that they were sent by email.

    • Pending Bank Account Verification

      The point of contact has not yet entered the test debits.

    • Pending Review

      The direct deposit application is under review.

    • Active

      Direct deposit service is ready to use to electronically pay employees.

    • On Hold

      There is something wrong with your direct deposit registration.

      Click the Contact Xero Support button at the bottom of this page to fix the issue. Include your Xero organization name with your request.
