Manage your public user profile

Find out how to set up your public user profile for Xero Community or embedding on your own site.

Make your user profile public

  1. At the top right of the screen, click on your name and select Profile.

  2. At the top of the Profile Settings screen, select On.
  3. Under Terms and Conditions, review our terms of use and the guidelines for Xero Community, then check the box to agree to them.
  4. Click Save.

Select details to include on your public user profile

  1. At the top right of the screen, click on your name and select Profile.
  2. Click Edit profile.
  3. Enter or update details in any field. For each item you want to make public, click the checkbox marked Public.
  4. (Optional) To add social media links under Contact Details, click Add contact field and select from the list. Copy and paste the part of the link that is not already showing in Xero.

    For example, if your LinkedIn address is:
    'http://www.linkedin.com/pub/firstname-lastname/12/34'
    you would only copy:
    'pub/firstname-lastname/12/34'.

  5. (Optional) To remove a contact field you don't need, click the x alongside it.
  6. Click Save.

Minimum details that display if your user profile is public

Some details will always display on your profile if it is public:

  • Your name
  • Your location (as set in Profile Settings)
  • Your photo (if you have uploaded one, or previously used one in Xero Community)
  • Any achievements Xero has on record for you, such as partner certification
  • Any interactions you've had on Xero Community
