Create reusable text for invoices, quotes, purchase orders or other transactions

Create reusable text — for invoices, quotes, purchase orders or other transactions you send to your contacts — by adding a description-only inventory item.

You might add a description-only inventory item to explain conditions, or provide further information about your products, services, or business. Enter the information you want to display whenever you use the inventory item in transactions.

  1. Go to Accounts, then Inventory.

  2. Click New Item.

  3. Enter Item Code, and Item Name (recommended).

  4. Select the checkbox I sell this item to use the item on invoices or quotes. For purchase orders, select the checkbox I purchase this item.

  5. Enter your description.

  6. Save.
