Release notes: updates to Xero on July 22, 2014
Here's a summary of what we've released:
The payroll Overview screen is updated to highlight items that need your attention—whether you need to pay a pay run, or approve time off requests and timesheets. The screen now includes taxes and filing obligations to show any overdue filings or payments and upcoming items.
From the Overview screen, you can add an employee, pay run, or timesheet. You can also view a summary of payroll information, including last month’s total wages, the tax obligation amount, and the date of the next pay run.
Now, when you add a new organization to Xero, you will see the five-step payroll setup guide that you need to complete before you can process a pay run. Once you complete the setup, the guide disappears from the Overview screen.
After you save information in the Details tab, the other tabs display. Home addresses are now verified within the Details tab, rather than in another window. The gender is now indicated by selecting an option, and the email address must be unique.
