Release notes: updates to Xero on December 9, 2014
Here's a summary of what we've released:

New for Australia and updated for the US is the ability to add public holidays, so you can more accurately calculate time off and leave.
We’ve added holidays for 2015 for you based on your country, and grouped them so you can easily assign these groups to your employees. Of course, you can also add your own holidays, and we’ll keep this list up-to-date each year.
It’s easier to add and edit pay items and set up calendars or schedules with a more refined payroll settings.
Reporting just got better with the addition of these reports:

- Payroll Opening Balance Details
- Total Cost Summary
- Total Cost Details
- Taxable Wage Summary
Annual payroll tax forms are available for the following states for manual filing:
