Client contacts in Ask queries

Learn more about client contacts when you send a query or reminder to your client.

How it works

  • When you send a query or a reminder, you can select a contact associated with the client.
  • If the contact doesn’t exist, you can add it to the client on-the-fly.
  • If you don’t want to add the contact to the client, just enter an email address.

Select a contact

  1. Go to Ask and click the query in the list.
  2. Click Send query.
  3. (Optional) Begin typing the contact’s name in the To field to narrow the list of contacts.
  4. Select a contact from the list.

Add a contact

If a contact doesn’t exist for the client, you can add it.

  1. Go to Ask and click the query in the list.
  2. Click Send query.
  3. Begin typing the contact’s name in the To field.
  4. Click Add '[x]' as contact at the bottom of the list.
  5. In the Add contact to [client] screen, complete the contact’s name and email address, and then click Add contact.

Use an email address

If you don’t want to add the contact to the client, simply enter the contact’s email address in the To field.
