The Payroll Employee role

Payroll employees with access to My Payroll have the None user role, which lets them view their payroll information through the employee portal. If an employee has more responsibility at the organisation, you can give them permission to administer payroll or view other areas in Xero.

How it works

When you invite a payroll employee to My Payroll, we assign them the None user role. This way, they can see their payroll information, submit timesheets and request time off. If an employee is responsible for payroll, you can give them Payroll Admin permission so they can set up payroll, process pay runs, and manage employees. Or, you give an employee access to different areas of Xero such as bank reconciliation or reports.
