Westpac (New Zealand) direct feeds

Get bank account transactions from Westpac sent into Xero every Tuesday to Saturday. To apply, add your accounts in Xero, download and complete the application form. Your feed will start in 10 working days.

Eligible account types

  • Everyday (day-to-day) accounts
  • Term deposit accounts
  • Loan accounts
  • Credit card accounts
If your account type is not eligible

If your account type is not eligible for direct feeds, try one of the following ways to get your account transactions into Xero:

If there have been no new transactions on your credit card since Westpac sent your last statement, they will not send an empty statement into your Xero organisation. You’ll receive a new statement when they processes a new transaction.

Apply for a direct feed

Add your bank account and download the application form

  1. In the Accounts menu, select Bank Accounts.
  2. Click Add Bank Account.
  3. Start typing your bank's name, then select the name from the list.
  4. Enter your account name, then select your account type.
  5. Add your bank account number. If you're adding a credit card account, enter the last 4 digits of your credit card number, then add your 12-digit account number.
  6. Select the currency (if required).
  7. (Optional) If you have multiple bank accounts to add, click + Add another [bank name] account.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Click Download Form. If you've added multiple accounts, only the accounts eligible for direct feeds will show on the application form.
  10. Click Done.
Need to apply for feeds for an existing account in Xero?
  1. Click the Get Bank Feeds button next to the eligible bank account.
  2. Select your account type.
  3. Check that you have entered the correct bank account number.
  4. (Optional) If you have multiple accounts for this bank and you don't want to apply for feeds for all of them, click Don't connect next to an account to exclude it.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Click Download Form.
  7. Click Done.

Sign and send us the application form

  1. Open the downloaded application form.
  2. Print the form and fill out any fields that haven't been automatically completed.
  3. Sign the form, then scan it and send it to us.
