Contact Transactions report

The Contact Transactions report is generated only as a result of drilling down from the Expenses by Contact or Income by Contact reports to see the list of transactions for the individual contact within either of these reports.

Your user role determines whether you can see this report, and whether you can save and publish it.

If you are viewing a report produced by someone with the Adviser user role, you may see notes or a summary on the report.

Generate the Contact Transactions report

  1. From either the Expenses by Contact or Income by Contact report, click into the contact name.
  2. Choose a time frame, then click Update to view your report.
This report shows either expense transactions or income transactions depending on which report you are drilling down from.

View transactions

The list of transactions shows all amounts for the chosen Contact, for the period of the report.

Click on the transaction to view the source of the transaction for example the invoice, bill, credit note, bank transaction or expense claim.

Depending on which report you have drilled down from, a link will display to take you back to either Expenses by Contact or Income by Contact.

Regardless of the date of a transaction, its amount will only be recorded against an account in your chart of accounts once it has been approved. For example sales invoices or bills that have been approved and are awaiting payment, or expense claims that have been authorised. Spend or receive money bank transactions display immediately.
