Error message - Could not file due to a connection error
When you're filing your GST Return electronically through Xero, you may get this error message. There are several reasons you may see it.
Try these suggestions to fix the problem:
- A GST Return for this period may have already been filed with Inland Revenue. Talk to your accountant or bookkeeper, or contact Inland Revenue.
- Someone else may be working on the GST Return in myIR. Try again in 30 minutes.
- The Inland Revenue gateway may be busy. Try again in a few hours. Alternatively, file your return directly in myIR.
