Westpac (Australia) direct feeds

Get bank account transactions from Westpac automatically imported in to Xero. To apply, add your accounts in Xero, download the application form, then sign and send it to us. Your feed will start in 10 working days.

Eligible account types

  • Everyday (day-to-day) accounts
  • Loan accounts

    Available for some loan accounts, check with your bank. Flexi-loans are not supported.

If your account type is not eligible

If your account type is not eligible for direct feeds, try one of the following ways to get your account transactions into Xero:

Westpac direct feeds can only download into one external system. If you have any BankLink or MYOB feeds set up, they'll be cancelled if you set up feeds with Xero.

Apply for a direct feed

Add your bank account and download the application form

  1. In the Accounts menu, select Bank Accounts.
  2. Click Add Bank Account.
  3. Start typing your bank's name, then select the name from the list.
  4. Enter your account name, select your account type and add your account number.
  5. Select the currency (if required).
  6. (Optional) If you have multiple bank accounts to add, click + Add another [bank name] account.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. Click Download Form. If you've added multiple accounts, only the accounts eligible for direct feeds will show on the application form.
  9. Click Done.
Need to apply for feeds for an existing account in Xero?
  1. Click the Get Bank Feeds button next to the eligible bank account.
  2. Select your account type.
  3. Check that you have entered the correct bank account number.
  4. (Optional) If you have multiple accounts for this bank and you don't want to apply for feeds for all of them, click Don't connect next to an account to exclude it.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Click Download Form.
  7. Click Done.

Sign and email us the application form

  1. Open the downloaded application form.
  2. Print the form and fill out any fields that haven't been automatically completed:

    • Employee/Representative name – enter the name of the person requesting the feed.
    • Employee/Representative phone number – enter the phone number for the person requesting the feed.
  3. Sign the form as an authorised signatory for the company, or as the individual who owns the bank accounts listed.
  4. Scan the form, then send it to us.
