Activity feed Settings

Set up, change, or delete custom alerts, or turn on alerts you have turned off in your activity feed.

Custom alerts

Use custom alerts to show a bank alert when you have more than a certain number of transactions to reconcile, or it's been a specific number of days since the last time you reconciled an account, or both.

Set up a custom alert

  1. Go to Activity, then click Settings under My activity.
  2. Select Custom alerts then click Create new.
  3. From the Client list, select one or more of your clients to monitor, then enter a limit for Transactions to code, Days since fully reconciled, or both.
  4. Click Save.

You'll see an alert in your activity feed whenever a limit is exceeded.

Change a custom alert

  1. Go to Activity, then click Settings under My activity.
  2. Select Custom alerts then click the menu icon Xero HQ menu icon on the alert you want to change.
  3. Click Edit custom alert, then update the limit for Transactions to code, Days since fully reconciled, or both.
  4. Click Save.

Delete a custom alert

  1. Go to Activity, then click Settings under My activity.
  2. Select Custom alerts then click the menu icon Xero HQ menu icon on the alert you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete custom alert.
If you change your mind, you can click Undo in the notification that appears briefly in the bottom left corner of the screen.

System alerts

If you turn off an alert in your activity feed, it appears as a preference rule under System alerts. To turn the alert on again:

  1. Go to Activity, then click Settings under My activity.
  2. Select System alerts, then click the grey X next to the alert you want to turn on.
