Edit a draft invoice

Edit the details of a draft customer invoice. Then depending on your user role, send the invoice for approval or approve it yourself. If it's a repeating invoice, only the current transaction changes. You can delete or void the invoice template to stop all future repeats.

  1. Find and open your draft or awaiting approval invoice. Use search if you know the contact's name, or invoice amount.
  2. Make your changes to the invoice. You can edit any field, and you can drag and drop the item lines to reorder them.

    You can edit the invoice number, but if you do the numbering might go out of sequence.

  3. (Optional) Click Preview to check your invoice.

  4. Save the invoice, send it for approval, or approve it yourself.
