Delete a bank statement line in Xero
If you've imported a duplicate (or the wrong) transaction from your bank account into Xero, delete the bank statement line in Xero that represents that bank transaction.
If you've imported a personal expense, we don't recommend deleting it.
Delete a bank statement line
- In the Accounts menu, select Bank Accounts.
Find the bank account you want to delete the bank statement line from. Click Manage Account and select Bank Statements.
- Select the checkbox next to the statement line you want to delete.
Click Delete to confirm.
Deleting personal expenses
Personal expenses from a business bank account are recognised as money drawn out of the business. Instead of deleting the bank statement line, business owners often code personal expenses to a drawings account.
