Edit your standard branding theme to change how tax subtotals and currency conversions display on invoices or other documents (credit notes, quotes, statements, purchase orders, receipts, or remittance advice).

About subtotal options

Tax rates and tax components are two different ways of displaying tax subtotals. Tax rates group by percentage. Tax components group by name rather than percentage.

Your default template will group tax subtotals by tax rate or tax component depending on the region you chose when you created your organisation.

The default setting for New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom is for tax subtotals to group by tax rates. The default setting for the United States and all other regions is for tax subtotals to group by tax components.

Choose a tax subtotal display option

  1. In the Settings menu, select General Settings.
  2. Under Features, click Invoice Settings.
  3. Next to the standard theme you want to update, click Options then select Edit.

  4. Select how you want the tax subtotal to show.

  5. Click Save.

  1. In the Settings menu, select General Settings.
  2. Under Features, click Invoice Settings.
  3. Next to the standard theme you want to update, click Options then select Edit.

  4. Select how you want the currency conversion to show.
