Accept or decline a Xero invite

Learn how to accept or decline an invite into an organisation in Xero, or take over the subscription.

Accept an invite when you're a new Xero user

You'll need to accept the email invite you've received, to access Xero for the first time.

  1. Open the invitation email and click the link.
  2. Click Accept Invite.
  3. Create and confirm your password.
  4. Select the checkbox to confirm that you've read the Terms of Use.
  5. Click Create.

Accept an invite when you're already a Xero user

If you already use Xero, you can access all your Xero organisations with the same login, even if you have different user roles in each.

If you've received an invitation with an email address that differs from the address linked to your existing Xero account, decline the invite. Ask the organisation to resend the invite to your preferred email address.

To accept the invite:

  1. Open the invitation email and click the link.
  2. Click Accept Invite.
  3. Enter your password and click Login.

You can now access the organisation that the invitation came from.

  2. Click decline this invitation.
