Add or edit a task in Xero Projects for iOS

Add a chargeable or non-chargeable task on mobile to keep track of the different parts of your projects. You can also edit an existing task if you haven’t invoiced it.

Add a task to a project

  1. Tap the name of the project you want to add a task to.
  2. Tap +, then tap Add task.
  3. Add a task name or choose a task if you’ve set up inventory items in Xero.
  4. Switch the Chargeable toggle to On (blue) to add a Charge rate / hr.
  5. Add an Estimate.
  6. Tap SAVE & ADD ANOTHER or Save.

Edit an existing task

You cannot delete a task or change it to a non-chargeable task, if a time entry on that task has already been invoiced.

  1. From the project, Tap the TASKS tab.
  2. Tap the task you want to edit.
  3. Tap Options, then tap Edit.
  4. Make your changes and tap Save.
