Create and approve an employee's timesheet

Create and immediately approve a timesheet on behalf of your employee, if you are a Payroll Admin.

Create and approve a new timesheet

  1. In the Payroll menu, select Timesheets.
  2. Click Add Timesheet.
  3. Select the Employee, then the Period. If you can’t select the period, visit I can't create a timesheet for a certain period.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Enter the following information:
    • Earnings Rate - Select the rate you’re entering time against. You can only enter earnings rates that are measured in the same time units as the employee's ordinary earnings rate.
    • Tracking category (optional) - If you’ve set up payroll tracking, select the tracking category.
    • Hours - Enter time.
  6. Click Approve.

You can also save the timesheet as a draft.

Create and approve a timesheet using a template

  1. In the Payroll menu, select Timesheets.
  2. Click Add Timesheet.
  3. Select the Employee, then the Period. If you can’t select the period, visit I can't create a timesheet for a certain period.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Click Load Template.
  6. Select the Template Name from the list, then click Continue.
  7. (Optional) Make changes to the timesheet.
  8. Click Approve.

You can also save the timesheet as a draft.
