I can't create a timesheet for a certain period

Can't see the time period you want to create a timesheet for? There might already be a draft timesheet for that period, or pay run for that period has been posted.

Timesheet rules

  • You can only have one timesheet for an employee per period, even draft timesheets.
  • You can only view draft timesheets you’ve created.
  • You can’t create a timesheet for a pay period where the pay run has been posted.

The timesheet is rejected, then reverted to draft

When you reject a timesheet submitted by your employee, as soon as the employee reverts it to draft, you can’t see or create a timesheet for that period. Check the employee hasn't saved a timesheet to draft for the period. If they do, they'll need to either delete the draft or submit it for approval.

There is a draft timesheet for that period already

If your employee has created a draft timesheet for a period, you won’t be able to see, or create a timesheet for that period. Check the employee hasn't saved a timesheet to draft for the period. If they do, they'll need to either delete the draft or submit it for approval.

The payroll for that period has been processed

If the pay run for the period has been posted, you won’t be able to create a timesheet for that period. To account for the hours, add an earnings line on the employee's payslip and enter hours directly when you process a pay run.
