Edit or delete a pay calendar

Edit an existing pay calendar to change how you pay your employees, or delete a calendar completely. You don’t need to assign updated calendars to your employees.

Edit a pay calendar

  1. In the Settings menu, select General Settings.
  2. Under Features, click Payroll Settings.
  3. Click the Calendars tab.
  4. Click the calendar you want to edit.
  5. You can't change the pay period dates once a calendar has been assigned to an employee and processed in a pay run. Create a new pay calendar if you need a calendar with different pay period dates.
  6. Make your changes and click Update.

Delete a pay calendar

  1. In the Settings menu, select General Settings.
  2. Under Features, click Payroll Settings.
  3. Click the Calendars tab.
  4. Click the delete icon Image of the Delete icon. for the calendar.
  5. Click Yes.

Delete a locked pay calendar

You can't delete a pay calendar listed with a lock icon Padlock icon because it is linked to current, terminated or archived employees. To unlock the calendar:

  1. Create a new pay calendar.
  2. Assign the new pay calendar to all current, archived or terminated employees linked to the calendar you want to delete.
  3. Delete the old pay calendar:
    1. Click the Calendars tab.
    2. Click the delete icon Image of the Delete icon. for that calendar.
    3. Click Yes.
